Welcome

On behalf of our members, I invite you to join Qaracta.

Ours is a private society for people to discover and build rich social connections, both online and in person. We are not all ‘like-minded’ – far from it – yet we agree that how we treat each other matters.

Qaracta verifies the age and identity of all who join. Members are real – no bots, fakes, or scammers. Our ID check also encourages each of us to think about how we interact, and to be who we say we are.

On public social media, many hide behind anonymity to spread nonsense, pick fights, or gain validation for their egos. The swipe culture of online dating nudges people to misrepresent themselves, waste others’ time, or cause distress.

We stand for something different:

– Genuine people
– Honest conversations
– Being more ‘human’

We champion a culture of encouragement: we value the people we meet, their lives and interests, what they choose to tell us. Naturally, we also benefit when others do the same in return.

Possibilities unfold naturally: begin with texts about whatever is on your mind; move to coffee or wine with a friend; share an afternoon of yoga or rugby; enjoy evenings out, go on fun dates, find love.

Online and in person

On Qaracta Connect, our invite-only app, members chat about their days and their passions. We share thoughts on films we have seen, on food and drink, on books and art, and on how to get more from life.

Our ethos is show, don’t tell. Anyone can tick a box on a profile, while our members’ posts reveal the trick to sketching a dog, how not to bake a soufflé, what it means to love comedy or Zadie Smith, where to find the best pizza.

We have no algorithm or ads to push you down a rabbit hole. On Connect, you follow the groups, topics, and members that interest you. We do not sell your data; our small fee encourages participation.

Start private conversations with individuals who agree to connect, building on what you shared in our forums.

Or bring together members to try that new Italian. Whenever you meet in person, you can be sure everyone has verified their identity and said yes to our culture.

We also host events in places that share our ethos, initially in London, England. Whilst members find the online conversation enriching, people still benefit from time in the same café, restaurant, or theatre.
